リカバリが作成する個別のタイムラインを指定します。値は数値のタイムラインIDか、特殊な値です。currentでは、ベースバックアップが取得されたときにカレントだったタイムラインに沿ってリカバリします。latestでは、アーカイブ時に見つけた最新のタイムラインにリカバリします。これはスタンバイサーバで有用です。デフォルトはlatestです。
通常このパラメータの設定が必要となるのは、ポイントインタイムリカバリの実施後に到達した状態に戻す場合など、複雑なリカバリの状況のみです。この論考についてはbackup-timelinesを参照してください。
